SwEEt

Spent the last days with shaping and party. Results are headache and a sweet looking pintail glider in 9´,4´´x 23´´x 3´´. It has very low entry rocker, a slight kicktail and 50/50 rails. Tried to make the best out of the windsurf Clark Foam blank. Tomorrow I start the glass job and will be working on my fin.

FoILinG

I started with my Longboard project and the first step was making a Fin. I cut out three templates. a Huck-Fin, a Flex-Fin inspire thing an a D-Fin. I started today foiling the Flex-Fin and it came out pretty well. The Huck and the Flex-Fin are made of Paulownia, the D-Fin is made out of an very old skateboard (posted a long time ago.
Im not finished yet but here is a preview!

If Im in Munich I will start to shape my Longboard. I have made a template with AKU Shaper. Have a look!

ThEPurPLEfOOt

A few weeks ago I build a mini longboard for my girlfriend and it still rocks. It feels like a surfboard on the road. She painted the flowers at the bottom and our cat did the footprint. We are both pretty happy with it.
I also have some design ideas and draw templates for new intresting boards, they will be finished in a few weeks.
During I was in France my girlfriend painted an awesome picture for me!

Enjoy!

I spent my summer in France and had the chance to give my homebuild Alaia´s a testride and pass it to some friends. I only rode they once because of the crowds and the very very good waves this summer. I was really astonished that i made one wave on my first Alaia. I must say that they are really really hard catching waves and ride them well but i was fun that morning.
The waves were a blast this summer and the best i have seen. I met many people and won a lot of new good friends there.

CrAFtYdAYs

After a week with bad weather, kitesurfing, windsurfing and now some freetime i started my second Alaia. My first one, called LALA, got a branding and some linseed oil and is now finished. The second one is totally different, it has a swallow tail and is just around 14-15 inch wide and has a concave running through the last 2/3 of the board. The outline is parabolic and it has very low volume. I´m so excited to get these boards in the water. On friday i´m heading to France and get these boards wet! Yeeeahaaaaaaa

Two weeks ago i was at home in Munich because of the wedding from my cousine, wish you again a happy time and enjoy your life together.
Besides i spent the rest of my time in surfing the Eisbach. The wave and the weaher was this time perfect but very crowded in and outside the water! I was in Munich two weeks before that weekend and broke my board and could only surf one and a half hour so i enjoyed it fulltime that wedding weekend.

This is my actuall "shaping room", but it works quite well. Hard situations need uncommon solutions.
This is my first attempt in shaping a surfboard "Alaia". I have repaired until now some boards very well but lets see how i understand the shaping of a board from its first scratch.
I do an Alaia because i got this palownia planks for very cheap, it should be around 6 feet 10 inch in lenght and get a light belly bottom and deck.
